You can eat alot of MRE's through the week so come the weekend you're plugged up and won't need the TP.
That's just another idea... _________________ "My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!" |

don't know if this came up elsewhere but any outlets to charge up batteries or should we depend on car batteries? |

As previously mentioned, there are no power outlets at this site. Two pre-charged batteries should be more than enough for the duration of the event. _________________ HIKE IN BARE FEET

Once "in country" are we going to have access to our vehicles...any vehicles? If so, my battery charger can hook up to a car battery and charge airsoft gun batteries.
It's a big issue of trust, however. Do you trust that the battery charger won't blow your battery up. I've charged my batteries this way and never had a problem, but I'm always worried it may not work. It's a risk that I'm willing to take because the batteries are mine. For anyone else you can charge a battery if you really need to, but at your own risk.
I'm putting this out there for anyone who might not have more than one battery. _________________ "My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!" |

Your cars are well away from the FB. If everyone properly charges two batteries you'll be fine. If your batteries are suspect, or go flat after 300rnds, you either have crap batteries or need a better charger. Once you are away from your vehicles it will not be convenient to return to them. _________________ HIKE IN BARE FEET

I'm sure my batteries are fine and same with my charger. Anyone else think they might have a problem?
Mercy you said it would not be convenient, but you didn't say it wasn't allowed. Are players going to be allowed to return to their vehicles, or once we part from them, that's it. I'm fine either way...I'll be lugging all of my stuff to the Firebase and should be self suficient and content. Not so sure about the regular weekend airsofter.
It seems that most of the people that will be in this lot shouldn't have to return to their vehicles, but for any FNG to this type of game, it might be something to consider.
To all the FNG types (it means friendly nice guy...i think...hehehe) make sure you have two batteries. If you don't, see if you can borrow from someone like a buddy or person from your "home" team. If anything prep all your gear on Thursday nite, do a final PCC/PCI (pre combat checks and inspection) on Friday morning, and be ready to roll as soon as Mercy says go.
If Mercy or game staff allows us to go back to our vehicles, I'll help out when and where I can with the battery/charger issue.
It don't mean nothing, brother. _________________ "My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!" |
